This month, Cinémoi devotes an entire season to French legendary actress Jeanne Moreau, with four rare and unsung masterpieces, from Moderato Cantabile, an adaptation of Duras’ play by British stage and screen innovator Peter Brook, to an erotically charged turn in Eva (1962), by the esteemed US exile Joseph Losey, and Luis Bunuel’s 1964 adaptation of Octave Mirabeau’s Diary of a Chambermaid. Finally, there is a rare chance to catch her in Jacques Demy’s stunning, Cote d’Azur-set La Baie des Anges.
