Call for Submissions
Manchester’s Kino Film have a few events in the making and are looking for several special categories of shorts as follows: Short films from women filmmakers for a Women in Film event; Short films by red head filmmakers or films where the central character is a red- head, for a special Red Head film event to celebrate National Red Head day later this year; Student films for a North West Student showcase; and short films by Salford filmmakers for a special Salford showcase in June. These are in addition to their normal open call for submissions for Manchester and North West shorts. Volunteers Wanted
They are also urgently seeking volunteers to help with the planning of the festival, with research, marketing, sponsorship and helping them to strengthen their links with Universities & develop new partnerships for 2012/3. They are looking for new ideas to bring into the arena and if you are some interesting in getting seriously involved getting involved in event management, festival planning and programming, they want to hear from you now, so do get in touch with them – but note, they do need people with time on their hands to help: via email at: info’at’kinofilm.org.uk
