BFI Shorts 2012: Open for Applications

Lighthouse is pleased to announce that the BFI Shorts 2012 scheme is now open for applications. BFI Shorts 2012 is an exciting new UK-wide short film production initiative which will support up to 20 live-action fiction projects with budgets ranging from £25,000 to £50,000. They are looking for a diverse slate of films that tell compelling stories and have the ability to engage, inspire and entertain audiences. They are now accepting applications from directors, writers and producers who have a track record of making work which demonstrates a distinct voice and strong storytelling ability. The scheme welcomes submissions from talent working across a wide variety of creative disciplines, including film, TV drama, theatre, online drama, commercials, documentaries and artists’ film and video. The deadline for applications is 5pm, Friday 23 March 2012.
