About Julian Bushell

Founder of Non-Multiplex Cinema and creator of FILM MEANS BUSINESS. Now starting a new way to make film called "Blur the line". It takes the workshop environment of experimentation and learning and marries that with cinema quality equipment, filming at actual locations when possible. The end result is a scene the same as or as close as possible to the quality of a real production.

Exclusive Interview with Lynne Paris, Writer and Director of AH Men
Q:-This must have been a traumatic experience for you. What made you tell your story publicly?
A:- I was asked to, and because I know how isolated wives of transexuals can feel I decided to go public to reach out and support other women who find themselves in my position. To give them hope and self respect back.
Q:- How do you plan to support wives?
A:- I’ve developed a Helpline network of Counsellors , Relationship Coaches and spiritual resource which will make sense of what has happened to them. It’s a time of growth and transition for wives as well to reach their full potential. It’s hard for women, if their husband wants a sex change, to understand that they can also revolutionise their lives – have their own transition, in a way.
Q :- But surely a wife can refuse to agree to her husband having a sex change unless she feels comfortable with the idea?
A:- You’d expect so, but legislation was passed in Europe making it unnecessary for a man to have the consent of his wife before he has a sex change. A man can be a long way down the treatment route without his wife even knowing. What happened to me could happen to any woman.
Q: How can women access the Helpline?
A:- Details will shortly be published on the AH Men website www.ahmen.co.uk
Q: What are your plans for AH Men?
A:- AH Men is attracting attention from many Diversity Groups, at home and abroad because it explores issues around The Equality Act and Protected Characteristics in a uniquely insightful and humorous way. We’ve received a couple of enquiries about making a film. I guess we’ll just see what comes along.

Rockkiss Digital Media Entertainment release their new game Grump’s Quest on Kickstarter

Grump’s Quest on Kickstarter

Digital animation and VFX studio Rockkiss Digital Media Entertainment are launching a new cinematic adventure game titled ‘Grump’s Quest’ to the crowd funding site, Kickstarter.com. Destined for the PC and Mac with versions also planned for the mobile tablets the game will utilise all the power of next generation platforms. The inspiration hails from the landmark games of the past like the amazing Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, also coincidently created by a VFX company. The game will take the form of a side scrolling adventure utilising incredibly detailed artwork, intercut with some amazing animated cinematic sequences. However, the game is far from being just an interactive movie. Grump’s Quest will host a wealth of highly developed and strong characters in the format of immersive and strategic game play. Of note on this project is Rockkiss’s desire to open up the development of the game to its backers and there are case studies on much of the production pipeline on their website.

http://www.rockkiss.co.uk/Projects_Grumps_Quest.html

The idea of creating a new world with new characters and opening up the process to the players at an early stage is very unusual. There will also be a great challenge in developing the game for the large array of different mobile formats there are now. However, Rockkiss are confident in having a strong team of industry veterans and feel they are uniquely placed to deliver a landmark game.
So for anyone with an interest in animation, VFX or games look out for Grump’s Quest on Kickstarter.com and get involved.
