| \n Believe it or not, Kino London are approaching their 50th screening. <\/p>\n That’s 50 unprogrammed, un-curated, unexpected screenings! They’re not quite sure how they managed to go from one screening to the next with nothing (that’s nothing) programmed, and still end up with a full house each night, but they did! Long may it continue.<\/p>\n Join them for a special birthday screening at the Horse Hospital on Wednesday 8th May. They can guarantee balloons, popcorn, birthday treats and a bumper screening list of shorts, all introduced by their ma…kers.<\/p>\n WANT TO SCREEN AT KINO #50?<\/p>\n As always, filmmakers register in advance to screen their short at each event, sight unseen. There are no themes, no pre-selection and no restrictions, other than:<\/p>\n – films must be under 6 minutes Screening slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you\u2019d like to screen your short drop them a line ASAP at screen@kinolondon.com They\u2019ll need your name, the title and duration of your film, along with your contact details.<\/p>\n WANT TO MAKE FILMS WITH THEM?<\/p>\n Alongside the open-mic shorts you’ll see the results of the Kino Challenge film awarded at Kino #49 (‘Pigeons know things’) and there\u2019ll be the chance \u2013 as always \u2013 to participate in the new session of Challenge filmmaking that will be happening in the month running up to Kino #51.<\/p>\n If you’ve never made a short, or are stuck for an idea, or just want to work with new people, the Kino Challenge is a great way to get those filmmaking juices flowing.<\/p>\n ************************** (PS. … Kino is always a busy one, and the Horse Hospital has a limited capacity of around 100 plus a few standing.
