Combining the sweep of Henry V, the pitch black humour of Richard III, and all the court intrigue of Elsinore, King John is the story of a desperate monarch who\u2019ll stop at nothing \u2013 lies, murder, even outright war \u2013 to strengthen his weakening grip on the kingdoms of England and France. Last year\u2019s modern world premiere of the disputed Shakespeare romance Double Falsehood received international press and TV coverage and demand for tickets was so great it transferred to the West End for an extra week of performances; so early booking is recommended. A rare opportunity to experience a powerful fast moving study of monarchy in meltdown, unseen in London since the RSC\u2019s 2001 production.
